But the cost has significantly come down and is expected to continue falling as the competition heats up. For example, Virgin Galactic is charging its tourists from $250,000 upwards. In the future, traveling to space is expected to be available to all.

The safety of space tourism is of paramount importance. Indeed, it was one of the reasons why many visitors had paused thoughts of ever traveling to space. But with the first several missions having been completed safely, the notion of safety is now assured.
Most space companies run multiple tests to ensure they offer non-fail space travel missions. This assurance is winning trust not just from the people, but authorities too. This is why more companies are getting authorized to offer the services.
