Coded Welding courses are not just for experts in welding neither are they for any specific group of people. Do you want to gain more knowledge regarding welding? And obtain certificates as well? Then welding courses are your appropriate choice. These courses will offer you the technical know-how about all sub-categories of welding.

Coded Welding Training

There is training for beginners that focuses on the basics of welding, and the training progresses with each level of expertise. The training offers various categories which include standard, ISO9606-1/2, ASME1X, and BS4872-1/2. The duration of training will depend on each candidate’s specific requirements and expertise level. Before any training, initial tests and background are conducted to gauge how much the trainee knows about welding.

Training has to be well conducted since it is only after the student has learned that they can take the tests and pass. Proper training should compose of theoretical knowledge and numerous practical lessons to help learners harness their welding skills.

SAFED Weld Certificates

All welders want to attain the 6G certification which is the highest level a certified welder can attain. To get to this point you need to be very skilled when it comes to welding. The SAFED certificates will be awarded to you on every welding level that you complete successfully. The certificate provides a way via which validation can be done by contacting the certificate’s source. This also ensures that quality standards are maintained which in return reduces accidents in workplaces.

Coded Welding Test Centre’s

To be qualified as a coded welder you need to have passed a welders test. The tests are set to weigh your knowledge in various Welding configurations. The test is submitted in the form of a welding sample which gets reviewed by a qualified welding test examiner. The tests are conducted in approved places. This is done to ensure the quality of test results is maintained. These test centers are also supplied with the requirements needed for your test. There are many approved coding welding course centers in the UK you just need to find a test center that will suit you best.

Testing Standards for Coded Welding

  • BS 4872 Parts 1 & 2. It applies for work involving general fabrication. These are areas where an approved welding test is not mandatory. The tests are focused on welding categories such as welding positions and thickness. The test only requires re-approval after two years.
  • RWC Responsible Welding Coordinator BS EN ISO 14731. This states that a company has to nominate a responsible welding coordinator. The experience and suitability of the coordinator are judged by the company and therefore, if he is incompetent then the results will be poor.
