If you have shopped for office supplies and equip the office space with necessary furniture, what’s left for you to do is to ensure your staff is keeping their desk organised. An organised desk will promote productive because it makes it easy for your employees to find items they need instead of search for them endless when the need arises. Below are the best practices you will want to introduce into your office to help your employees stay organised:

Sticking to what’s Necessary

Desks with too much stuff can lead to disorganisation and clutter. Desks can be kept organised and clean by limiting the number of pens, notebooks, pencils, and other supplies stored in it.  Consider limiting supplies shopping on the list and track inventory regularly. This way, you will know which supplies run out pretty quickly. This may help you determine if your employees are using these supplies reasonably. Implement the need to stick to the necessities in the workspace to save money.

Keeping the Desk Neat

Eliminating any cutter which might be on or around the desk will prevent new clutter from piling up. Emphasise the need to tie up any excess cord length on the computer cable, phone charger and other cords with daily items like ribbons or twist ties. Then, ask your staff to label these with tape to know what they are unplugging.
