The concept of order fulfillment is a pretty simple one: Fill a request for a product from an online shopper and deliver that product to that customer.
But carrying out that process is peppered with pitfalls that can mean the failure of a business that’s unprepared.
Elqin, an order fulfillment expert with a long record of reliability and a loyal customer base, is an industry leader. We are “prepared for the challenges and expectations from online purchasers,” the company states on its website at Elqin.com. “Speed, low costs, and exact order satisfaction are only a couple of things the present online shopper expects.”
At Heine Incorporated, the legal owner of Elqin.com, we also work aggressively to help your business accomplish the same goals for your clients.
From managing to shipping
Our order fulfillment service is comprehensive. We handle stock management, picking, packing and shipping products. And everything in between, including processing customer returns and issuing credits.
At Elqin, we take note that order fulfillment has advanced exponentially over the years. And we make sure we are prepared to meet the new challenges and help our clients, especially those with web-based ventures, succeed.
We make it our mission to protect our clients’ inventory. Whether it is packaging or shipping, we hold nothing back. We are committed to working for our clients. “We realize our customers take a huge leap of faith to entrust us with their order fulfillment service.”
We protect and serve
We make our client are happy with all our services, but if their products are not safe with us, we have failed in our commitments to them.
Elqin has instituted protective measures against damages during loading and transit. They include:
Airbags: When items are packed in a loose manner, they tend to get damaged or broken during transit. We use airbags to cushion the items, keeping them in one place and safe during delivery.
The idea is to fill up any space in the packing container. Airbags eliminate shifting and reduce the chance of damage. Our airbags are especially important when it comes to protecting fragile items during transit.
Film and Shrink Wrapping: This protective method works well for small packages loaded on to pallets. Shrink-wrapping prevents items from moving, getting damaged or falling off the pallets.
Film and shrink wrapping also make it easier for Elqin to protect goods that have irregular shapes and cannot fit into regular boxes.
Barcode Labeling: We provide barcode on all our labels, which makes managing the inventory and tracking easy. Barcodes are important because they also let our warehouse staff efficiently process and make sure the product gets to the right location.
A barcode takes up little or no space on a label but houses necessary information about the product. This data includes the product information, SKU number, manufacturer information, storage instruction, stock level and expiration date.
Heat Tunneling: Heat tunneling is another protection method that is similar to shrink wrapping and also prevents smaller items from moving during transit.
This process also works for items that have unique shapes and can’t fit in a regular-shaped box. Once we warp a package, Elqin staff heat the wrap to conforms to the shape of the product.
