Fund the Gap has become the fourth equity crowdfunding platform to launch in the UK. It began life in January 2013.
Fund the Gap is testing a new model – that is, they will only list companies in which they themselves will invest.
However, the amount they will invest varies between £500 and £50,000 – so at the bottom end of the investment scale, Fund the Gap’s fees would cover any potential investment loss, so would you invest in a proposition in which they don’t put in £50,000?
The website does not say how much Fund the Gap has invested.
Fund the Gap also runs a nominee share service for business angel investors for which it will charge additional fees.
