UK Government Close to £180bn Business Lending Agreement with Banks

Start-ups and small businesses will be hoping for a boost this year as the Britain’s biggest banks consider loosening their purse strings. As the storm surrounding bankers bonuses begins to subside, Chancellor George Osborne is close to securing a pledge from British banks that they will lend small businesses £180 billion in 2011.
