Lack of private backing threatens firm’s move to Scotland

An English medical company founded by the inventor of Clear Blue pregnancy kits was offered £250,000 of public money to relocate to Scotland, but the deal now faces collapse due to a lack of private backers.

The Surrey based company,Fertility Focus, was expecting to be offered the deal by inward investment agency Scottish Development International (SDI) as part of efforts to raise £1 million to finance its next round of growth.
