London and Geneva based VC firm, Index Ventures, has teamed up with the Accelerator Group (TAG) to jointly back entrepreneurs at the earliest stage of development.

The partnership will be called ‘Index Seed’ and it expects to back 20 companies involved mainly in technology. Index Ventures are known for a lucrative investment in online communications company, Skype. The partnership is an intriguing one particularly if as the name suggests they are looking to invest in seed stage, territory normally associated with business angels.
